untitling

NO. 5065
no. 5065

Okay so I’m just kinda tired of naming images now. So don’t be surprised if you just see a number attached. The number of the image corresponds to the original file number of the photo that provided the canvas for this image. The original photo that I used as a “canvas” was of a nighttime snow-covered car park. I also used a photo of a demolished school where only the construction fence, piles of rubble and a chimney could be seen. The third image I added to the mix was the underside supports of a concrete bridge. After many layers, making color choices and selecting what features I wanted to use – I ended up with the final image you see here.

Hope you all are having a great week so far. TGIF. :-)

This is just amazing! It looks like an abstract painting!!! What program do you use Mobius if I may ask?…

Thank you so much. That is high praise. To answer your question I just use Photoshop Elements – it’s all I’ve ever used. I’m just trying to stretch photo-based digital imaging beyond photographic representationalism. It’s what I call Visual Glossolalia (or a visual babelogue). I’m glad you enjoy. :-)

I really like the color combinations in this work. Bravo.

I like the idea of titling with numbers… the viewer is free to see what they want [or hear, if it's music].
Before reading your text I thought of bridges. Concrete bridges of light [sounds a bit surreal huh/!]
    Beautiful work, Terry!

Absolutely stunning! I can do without the titles if this is the result. :)

What I like is the sense of ” an immense space beyond ” suggested in the left top quadrant. It makes me want to draw a deep sustained breath. It is always amazing how an image resonates and acquires force.

Sometimes leaving the title out invites an imaginative one from your audience! I love the lightness and geometry of this!

made me smile and reminded me of mark rothko who just titled his paintings brown on plum or such things…even refusing to give the observer little hints on what his thoughts behind were… sometimes a title says much, sometimes it keeps us from thinking our own thoughts, no matter if it is poetry, painting or photography…see you made me ponder…smiles…the pic speaks to me of transparancy and beams…happy saturday…smiles
