Just feeling a little “square” today.
Square in the best sense.
I always like to push peoples expectations of what things mean
Music today by a group that does the same musically. They are Squarepusher which I can only describe as electro-glitchy-bleep-pop. Hows that for a description? Undoubtedly many of you will not last 1 minute into this video. And if it is the first thing you see today please don’t watch it until after you’re fully awake! It WILL do you harm. There! A challenge and a warning. Hows that? ![]()
Squarepusher – DARK STEERING from their 2012 album UFABULUM
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
The artwork is brilliant and listening at the same time is cool. Luckily it’s quite late in the day here now so good timing all round. Like it!
hehe – awesome. Thanks again for your comments and visits. Peace.
Nice art, starting to feel square too, Terry!
Song is nice too, like his older stuff where he plays live bass a bit more
Thanks Ron. I do like his older stuff also but this new work is pretty amazing since no actual instruments were used when making it. It’s a pure digital recording all sounds are digitally created not an organic bit (or should I say byte) in the album from what I’ve read about it.
You’re welcome, Terry. Must admit that the combination of sound and visuals is stunning in this clip! But not sure if that’s so innovative, really into the new Autechre and I think (and it sounds) that that’s as much machinery talking….
Thanks for the electronic saturday morning input and have a great weekend!
Ron
well, after seeing your art, my weekend is much better!
Your square mood led you to an exceptional image.
Perfectly balanced and perfect color combinations!
Thank you, Terry!
Thanks Marina. I’m glad to contribute to a better weekend for you.
I think a certain Mr. D. would be highly impressed, just as I am.
Hehe. Thanks.
very cool artwork terry…love how you experiment with different things
Aw, C’mon! $*?! I love no. 5485. It’s all over the creative map for me – St. Ives School, echoes of Duchamp’s large glass studies, textile art. I’ve said this before, but this new series is just brilliant.
Aw shucks! Thanks my friend. REally nice references you’ve made. Glad you like. More to come.
Reblogged this on Tubagus Arief Z-Surosowan art doc.
Thanks for reblogging.
I love this! I see it as a quilt or wall-hanging..
It is rather quilt-like. Thanks Roberta.
As said Roberta this is gloriously quilty…
yep – i like your square feelings, as long as they come out with such remarkable work.
