A daily art newsletter had this little item in todays edition: It features something by one of my favorite artists.
On a day like today German painter Gerhard Richter, was born
February 9, 1932.- Gerhard Richter (born 9 February 1932) is a German visual artist. Richter has simultaneously produced abstract and photorealistic painted works, as well as photographs and glass pieces, thus following the examples of Picasso and Jean Arp in undermining the concept of the artist’s obligation to maintain a single cohesive style. Glad you enjoyed.
Looks like a great film. Love Richter’s work – the big abstracts are my favourites, but some of the photorealistic pieces are brilliant too, particularly the Baader Meinhof paintings.
Glad you enjoy.
Fantástico! The painting is similar to some of your images!
