sacrifice

Just a heads up. I’m taking a break from the internet until the beginning of March. A sacrifice. A fast. A longing. I will only be accessing email every couple of days and that’s all. So, advance apologies for not checking in on your blogs or sites. I’ve been in the creative dumps for about a week now (all the images previously this week were scheduled in advance). I feel abandoned by the muse. So I figure that it’s time to look for other input and expression in my life. God willing I will come away from this sacrifice re-energized and ready to go. Of course I couldn’t post without including some art. So here is something brand new for you. Maybe it’s part of a new series. Maybe it’s not. Don’t know. The work is simply title CRAW #1. But before you really start to take time with the image click play on this video. It features Lisa Gerrard (from DCD) and Pieter Bourke. The track is titled SACRIFICE. Listen to it while working your way through the image. Enjoy. I’ll see you in March.

and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,

    Emptiness is important in our life. Only then there will be space for something new.
    the wings are there…broken, but alive, bright!

Can’t even explain it, you need to be there. They have a new cd that’s awesome, her voice is just like reaching to HEAVEN!!! There is nothing wrong in taking a break! Beautiful music and image, Terry. Both seem washed with a little sadness.
    Have a good break. I hope your muse helps you refill your artistic well, and that you come back renewed and energized.

    imagination needs moodling – long, inefficient, happy idling, dawdling and puttering.
    Your image and Sacrifice got me a little choked up – such magic power here and ancient longing.
    Even muses need a rest. Happy moodling Terry…

    Interesting song ….. and fits the image. Hope your break is going well. Contrast that with me, the one who doesn’t want to be away at the moment, but a project (and a boring one at that) is sapping time. By the way, you may be interested in this collaboration I did with a photographer friend. http://afrankangle.wordpress.com/2013/02/27/on-time/ …. makes me wonder if we should do something like this.
